Haven't updated in awhile, and I'll say don't expect anything either. Too busy with school projects, commissions, and most importantly, life.

I need to update my site though for school, but probably around November.

Theoretically, my site is being updated today, but FileZilla is being stupid, and instead of updating, it deleted everything and refuses to put it back up. >:(

I have a strong distaste towards technology. Very strong. I'm sure the feeling's mutual.

Card Redesign

So my society (which is basically a sorority without the craziness) wanted a redesign on our card. So I was concepting steampunk originally, but ditched that idea fast. So I was looking around until I was satisfied with something. Then I sent a rough to one of my girls who made a few suggestions for me, and I gladly took them.

The Pregnant Mind

A random idea hit me while I was listening to "Pump It" by the Black Eyed Peas. The idea that hit me was a visual image of an idea being born. So, I'm working on a simple little card/poster thing about it. Here are the images that I'm using. They can be found on google's image search. They should be on the first two pages. So the credits go there.





The finished product will be found on my website when I update it. So keep checking here for any updates on my site, or you can just browse through my site to get some ideas. :D

I Had a Dream...

So sometimes I dream in design. What artist doesn't? Well, none that I know of, but I'm sure I'm not the only one!

I saw this uber cool shirt while I was at Dollywood a few weeks ago. It was a Nike shirt with their slogan, "Just do it." I totally fell in love with it. I decided that I wanted to draw a character with that shirt but never got around to it due to a medical emergency. And because of said medical emergency, my art has pretty much been in hiatus. D:

But anyways, I was dreaming of the shirt, and I was wearing it. And it didn't look like the shirt I saw in Dollywood, so when I woke up, I went right to work. :D

Hidden Messages Joke

Haha. Joke hidden messages. I got bored burning my mind looking for phrases I can use or making up phrases I can use, so I decided to be silly. :D





Yes, I think I've decided to call the series "Hidden Messages." No, these two are not really a part of the series. I was just making a parody of my own work.

Sexual Advertisement Retaliation

I honestly don't know what clothing they are trying to sell here...maybe the shorts? Who knows, all I know is that the half-nude girl is the focal point of this advertisement. Same company as the last one.

Anti-Rape?

There are just some advertisements that make women look like total whores! I mean come on, really? Are women so cheap that we can use there bodies to sell products?

What I just find ironic is when clothing companies use sexual/nude bodies to advertise their stuff. Especially love it when the model isn't wearing any clothes at all.

So here is my retaliation:



Essentially what I did was edit an ad I found from an apparel company. I basically censored explicit nudity.

I'm working on more anti-rape advertisements. Will post soon!

Large Drawing WIP and Finish

Sorry about the quality of the photography. But here is a drawing I did in roughly 8 hours. I'm practicing since I'm not all that awesome yet. But I can see my own improvement from the start of the summer. Maybe I'll post a summer progress thing at the end of August or something. We shall see.

First!

Haha! I have my blog up. So, for whatever reason, my WordPress blog died, I guess from a lack of use or something...So I went with Blogger mostly because my cousin uses it so she can aid me as I n00bishly try to figure this thing out.

I'm struggling at actually customizing this sucker as I wish it to be, but that's okay. Just means less work for me. :D

I have the template design vaguely matching my website, so it's not too much of a big deal, unless I do another revamping of my website, which I'm not planning on anytime too soon...

But this blog is here for me to just post up thumbnails or sketch ideas or whatever WIP or whatever else. Nothing too formal, not that my site is incredibly formal to begin with. So I shall start things out with a couple sketches I did during the summer...
